Student Learning and Development

Marist Dining Services recognizes the importance of the college dining experience in addition to providing essential food menus and nutrition. We are committed to incorporating excellent culinary services and programming that contribute to a student's learning and knowledge while at college.

Examples include:

  • Cooking demonstrations by our Campus Executive Chef, Anthony Legname, a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America.
  • Monthly programming by the campus dietitian on a variety of food and nutrition related topics.
  • Opportunity to taste a variety of international cuisines and learn about different cultures. 
  • Restaurant style seating in dining facilities which promotes socializing, student engagement and collaborative thinking.
  • Leadership opportunities through student positions on the Marist Culinary Council.
  • Student Internship opportunities in Marketing and Nutrition & Wellness.
  • Vendor tabling and product tastings.
  • Programs offering a variety of sustainability initiatives such as FairTrade products, local/regional food purchasing and waste reduction.
