Food Allergies & Special Diets

My ZoneMarist Dining Services accommodates all students with medically diagnosed food allergies or medically prescribed diets while also striving to empower students to feel comfortable utilizing dining hall stations. Ingredients for all recipes served in the dining hall are clearly listed on the station menus and are available on the website and Bite app. If a student is unsure about any item we are serving, staff will talk directly to the chef that prepared the dish to determine exactly what ingredients were used and how it was prepared.

We also maintain a swipe-access-only My Zone special dietary kitchen reserved for students with a medically diagnosed food allergy or medically prescribed diet. These students sign an agreement to abide by all of the My Zone kitchen rules, aimed at preventing cross contamination. The kitchen stocks a variety of foods in order to accommodate the cohort of students who are using the space.

The My Zone kitchen also serves a 7-Allergens-Free hot lunch and dinner free of dairy, soy, nuts, tree nuts, gluten, eggs and shellfish. Gluten free pizza, chicken tenders and french fries are also served daily. Other gluten free items in the kitchen include cereal, granola, Udi's breads and desserts and deli meats.  Students swipe into the kitchen, serve themselves a hot meal, and return to the dining hall to sit with their friends to eat, all in the same amount of time it will take those friends to assemble their own meals in the dining hall.

my zone chefStaff members are all dual trained in proper food allergy protocols and are required to get a manager if a guest says they have food allergies, in order to ensure proper food handling techniques.

Please write or call us if you have questions, or want to learn more about this program. If you are an incoming student and you will need access to the My Zone program, please contact Colene Doughty, General Manager of Marist Dining Services by Sodexo, at

Gluten Free Dining

We have accommodated an increased demand for gluten free menu options over recent years. In the Dining Hall, gluten free alternatives are available to order at the pizza, pasta and deli stations on a daily basis. Several items such as our rotisserie chicken and salmon are also made daily with gluten free seasonings. Gluten Free options can also be selected for catered events. When arranging your event, please let us know in advance if any gluten free items are required so that we may incorporate them into your menu. Nutritional information for our gluten free products is also available upon request. Udi's is our main source for pre-made gluten free breads and baked goods.
