Featuring Chick-n-Bap, Simply to Go, snacks, drinks, and more.
Chick-N-Bap made its first appearance on the Marist College campus in 2019, in the form of three pop-up events. These events gauged student interest, and after receiving positive feedback, Marist Dining Services opted to include Chick-N-Bap as a new retail dining experience. Founded at SUNY Binghamton in 2013, Chick-N-Bap has since launched their food service operation at other college campuses including SUNY New Paltz and Ithaca College.
Before introducing Chick-N-Bap at Marist, the idea was well-received by many students, members of the Culinary Council, and the Student Government Association. Chick-N-Bap helps to diversify the retail menu choices available and offers great value to students.
The menu consists of build-your-own rice bowls, burritos, called "baprritos", and lettuce bowls, along with sandwiches and a number of sides. The variety of choice for each ingredient accommodates those with dietary restrictions, including vegetarians and vegans. The ginger-scallion mushrooms, Korean hummus, and multitude of sauces are either vegetarian or vegan verified.
Chick-N-Bap is located at the Cabaret in the Murray Student Center. Student favorites previously served at the Cabaret are available at other campus locations. This includes breakfast sandwiches, grass-fed burger and other grill items at North End Dining, breakfast sandwiches at Donnelly Cafe, Steel Plant Garden Cafe, and the Marketplace. Additionally, food trucks will continue to be on campus for late-night cravings on Friday and Saturday nights.
Hours of operation remain from 11:30am to 1:00am Monday through Friday, and 12:00pm to 1:00am on Saturday and Sunday. Students can use Thrifty Cash, Marist Money, cash, credit and debit for Chick-N-Bap.
